Marketing communications agency Palmer Hargreaves has named Mick Stoves as its new UK managing director, based in the group’s Leamington Spa office.

Stoves has served with PH for 18 years in both account handling and business development roles. He said: “According to Google, the first communications agency was set up 228 years ago. I wonder if in all that time there’s been a period of change in marketing quite like we’re facing now? From content, to inbound, to data, to creative work - I’m really looking forward to helping PH and our great clients deal with the challenges and complexities of marketing in the 21st Century.”

PH currently has offices in Cologne, Berlin, Moscow and, as of 1 January, Shanghai.

Commenting on the Chinese move PH chief executive Randy Weeks, added: “China is enormously important to so many of our clients and we know there is a great demand for our expertise and experience, particularly in automotive. We see the Shanghai office growing rapidly to become a major asset to the group.”
