Facebook ad spend up 81% while click through rates rise 148%

Facebook advertising spend has risen by 81 per cent in the past year, research from Kenshoo has found, while revenue has grown 162 per cent year on year (YoY).

Social click-through rate on Facebook rose by 148 per cent YoY, with search click-through rate increased 23 per cent YoY, driving an 11 per cent increase in clicks.

“As evidenced by the continued increases in spend and performance, marketers increasingly see the value in leveraging paid search and social to create powerful complementary campaigns,” said Aaron Goldman, chief marketing officer of Kenshoo. “Marketers running their campaigns through Kenshoo benefited greatly with significant gains in click-through rate and revenue compared to this time last year.”

The Kenshoo Search and Social Snapshot: Q3 2014, found that paid search generated 19 per cent year-on-year (YoY) spend growth and 22 per cent revenue growth.
