Deezer names Christian Harris as new MD for UK and Ireland
Deezer, the music streaming service, has appointed Christian Harris as managing director for UK and Ireland.
Joining from media streaming company Gorillabox, Harris will oversee the growth of Deezer in both countries under his remit.
Of his appointment, he said: “Deezer’s unrivalled mix of man and machine sets the service apart, and I’m delighted to join the team at this exciting time for digital music services. We’ve made great strides in the UK and Ireland, and I’m looking forward to building on that and really putting Deezer front of mind for music lovers.”
Harris will work with the Deezer UK and Ireland teams to drive Deezer’s subscriber growth and brand awareness, and will report into Gerrit Schumann, vice-president for Europe.
He takes up the role on 14 October.
