It's been a busy, enlightening week at Advertising Week New York so far, with lots of takeaways and insights emerging from myriad speakers, including a panel during which chief marketers suggested that data is stifling creativity. For more insights, check out The Drum's dedicated Ad Week NY content hub.

For those in attendance, here are our choices for Thursday's don't-miss sessions, including two organised by The Drum itself and featuring guest-editor Cindy Gallop, founder of IfWeRanTheWorld and MakeLoveNotPorn.

9am: Tim & Maurice, Times Center Stage

The Tim and Maurice of the title are indeed AOL chairman Tim Armstrong and Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Levy. Start your busy day at Ad Week by listening to their vibrant one-on-one conversation.

10am: Women Aren't Creative?, Times Center Stage

Despite the fact women control 80 per cent of consumer spend in the US, just three per cent of creative directors are female. In this session, JWT executive creative director Sarah Barclay and Meredith Kopit Levien, EVP of advertising at The New York Times are joined by a number of other panellists in what promises to be a lively discussion about changing this frustrating status quo.

11.30am: The New Creativity: What will be the ad industry creative products of the future?, The Microsoft Stage

Presented in partnership with The Drum and chaired by Cindy Gallop, who has also guest-edited the Advertising Week New York edition of the magazine, this explosive session will put creativity back at the heart of the discussion. Panellists consider how disruption has forced the move away from ad units to ad products and discuss what The New Creativity means for the future of the industry.

3pm: The Disruptive Debate, Times Center Hall

In the second panel of the day organised by The Drum, editor-at-large Dave Birss will introduce our new documentary series The Day Before Tomorrow, and host a discussion on how the marketing industries are being disrupted by fundamental changes in human behaviour and technology. Speakers include AOL digital prophet David Shing, so expect this to be a fiery discussion that's not to be missed.

4pm; Hacker, Maker, Teacher, Thief: Which one are you?, B.B King Blues Club

Following the publication of its new book 'Hacker, Maker, Teacher, Thief: Advertising's next generation', Creative Social takes a look at the importance of embracing new skills.

5pm: Fans, Football and Facebook: Carolyn and Michael, Times Center Stage

Carolyn Emerson, VP global marketing solutions, Facebook, takes to the stage with NFL Hall of Famer and TV host Michael Strachan to explore how social media is reinventing the rules of brand marketing.

If you haven't been able to make it to this year's event, all the panels are being live streamed for viewing in The Drum's dedicated live stream.
