The trailer for "Fifty Shades of Grey" has caused a storm in the United States .The Parents Television Council and Morality in Media have taken aim following the first screening last week . They described it was “highly inappropriate,”according to The HollywoodGossip.com

Both seem to be really upset that NBC's "Today" show debuted the preview, said the San Jose Mercury News.

PTC director of grass-roots education and advocacy Melissa Henson said, "We're talking about basically the equivalent of a dime-store trashy romance novel. Essentially, NBC is promoting what people refer to as 'mommy porn.'"

She also reportedly used the term "poor judgment."

A commentator in the Mercury News "doubted if anyone at the movie studio will be using that term once the movie premieres and they start backing up the Brinks trucks."

Henson said because parents often have morning news shows on with children in the room, NBC should have "couched it" with a very strong disclaimer.

She said it was a movie "that's romanticizing violence in relationships ... sexual violence is basically what this movie is promoting."

Morality in Media said , "The popularity of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' among women sends a message to men that this is what women really want,".

The group's director Dawn Hawkins said "Even more dangerous, it also sends the message to women that they can 'fix' violent, controlling men by being obedient and loving. A warning to the women lining up to see this film: There is nothing empowering about whips and chains or humiliation and torture."

Said the Mercury News writer Tony Hicks : “She probably has no idea how many tickets she sold for that movie just by saying that.”
