Razorfish leads 30th anniversary BIMA Award nominations

Razorfish has scooped eight nominations as the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) today announced the shortlist for the 30th anniversary of the BIMA Awards.

The digital agency’s YouTube initiative for Unilever, All Things Hair, is up for five awards.

Other companies with multiple entries on the list include agencies R/GA and Jam, which both have seven nominations and e3, Isobar, Lida, Lowe Profero, Poke, DigitasLBi, FutureLearn, Iris, SapientNitro, We Are Social and Redweb.

This year’s judging panel, which included digital experts from brands and agencies including National Trust, BBC Worldwide, AKQA, DigitasLBi, Oxfam and Mondelez International, saw a significant increase in agencies entering social initiatives, with submissions into the Social Media category up 21 per cent year-on-year. The User Experience category also saw a large increase with entries up 57 per cent.

BIMA has introduced a number of new awards categories for 2014, in recognition of the ever-evolving nature of the industry, including Data, Location and Second Screen.

The winners will be announced at an industry-wide party at B1 Bloomsbury on Thursday 18 September. Tickets to the ceremony are available on the BIMA Awards site.
