Uber offers ice cream delivery service
Uber is continuing its drive to disrupt other business models outside the taxi remit as it today (18 July) offers its users an ice cream delivery service.
The ride-sharing app, which earlier this month offered New Yorkers a helicopter option over the Independence Day weekend, is rolling out the service for one day only, with Uber branded vans zooming across 144 cities world-wide to meet demand.
In London Uber users will be able to request an ice cream van between 11am and 7pm, with five Mr Whippy ice creams available for £20. Branded goodies will also be delivered alongside the sweet treat.
