Digital streaming service Netflix is seeking a film and television buff to serve as its Tagger for the UK and Ireland, a job which entails responsibility for watching all the latest hit shows before anyone else.

Whilst gorging on the likes of Orange is the New Black and House of Cards Taggers will be required to assess the genre, tone and personality of the content so as to inform Netflix’s recommendation service, designed to keep people glued to their screens for as long as possible.

Describing the qualities it is looking for in a Tagger Netflix said: “The role will offer flexible hours working from home" and "would suit those with a passion for films and TV programmes".

The online service will prioritise applications from those with a film related degree or who are experienced in filmmaking.

Netflix currently employs 40 Taggers globally but this will be the first individual recruited exclusively for the UK market.
