This year's Dmexco tech conference will see it host a Start Up Village for the first time, to allow new companies to present their services to attendees.

The Village will play host to start ups from all around the world, who can now apply to host a presentation during the two day event, which will be attended by over 30,000 digital decision makers.

One company that is already set to feature will be TVSmiles, the provider of TV watching bonus rewards which will aim to promote its business model having won a competition run by the Dmexco organisers earlier this year.

Christian Muche, director of business development, strategy & international for Dmexco, explained: “With our new Dmexco Start Up Village, we offer young innovative firms from around the world an ideal framework in which to present themselves to the global digital economy. In this way they can make valuable contact with venture capital companies and the scene’s opinion - formers and key players.

"The range of firms represented at Dmexco 2014 includes media and creative agencies, advertising and digital marketing companies, media groups and platform providers such as Google or Facebook. And all of them are directly accessible for companies that decide to participate in the Start Up Village. That’s why we are convinced that the Dmexco Start Up Village 2014 will provide the springboard that enables many young companies to finally make the breakthrough," he added.

Entries to the present at the Start Up Village will be accepted until 11 July while the event itself will take place in Cologne on 10 & 11 September.
