Travelodge is trialling a series of 3D interactive picture postcards at London’s Waterloo Station as the hotel chain looks to promote its new ‘Get Up & Go’ campaign.

Created using 3D street art, the postcards offer members of the public the opportunity to be photographed doing an adventurous activity but “with two feet firmly on the ground”.

The experience was created in response to a new study by Travelodge which revealed that only 29 per cent of Brits have had the courage to take on an adventurous activity.

Shakila Ahmed, director of communications, Travelodge said: “We have created the UK’s first interactive 3D postcards in a bid to help Britons unleash their true adventurous spirit. Being photographed abseiling down the White Cliffs of Dover or jet skiing down The Thames, may just inspire adults to get up and go, and do an exhilarating activity for real instead of thinking about it.”

The postcards have been installed at Waterloo this morning and will remain until 7pm.
