SkySports has signed a partnership with football statistics website WhoScored.com, which will see player characteristics feature on all of the player pages on SkySports.com, including Europe’s top five leagues as well as the Europa League and Champions League.

Player characteristics on WhoScored are calculated by grouping players by position and then analysing various aspects of their game.

SkySports head of content and production, Owen Williams said: "We are very pleased to be working with WhoScored.com and their innovative approach to football data will give our users additional insight to the analysis we already provide on our website.”

The partnership comes months after WhoScored teamed up with BetVictor.

Managing director of WhoScored.com, Cristiano Acconci, said: “Football fans are increasingly looking for additional insight and our player characteristics will provide them with an added layer of analysis which will enhance their football knowledge.

“It’s an exciting partnership for WhoScored.com as we continue to grow and we are delighted to be working with one of the world’s largest and most respected sports broadcasters.”
