Former NBC exec, Lauren Zalaznick, joins Shazam board of directors
Lauren Zalaznick has joined the Shazam board of directors as an independent board member.
Zalaznick stepped down from her role as executive VP NBCUniversal in September last year, having been at the company for the past 12 years.
Commenting on her appointment, Andrew Fisher, executive chairman, Shazam, said: “Lauren has devoted her career in media to transforming the cultural landscape. [Her] expertise on the intersection of content, technology, and data will bring tremendous value to Shazam as we pursue our mission to be the world’s leading media engagement company.”
Zalaznick has been brought in for her “strategic knowledge and deep operating experience” as Shazam looks to expand its advertising offering in the coming year.
Shazam said she “will be a major asset in the development and execution of these plans.”
