Red Tettemer O'Connell + Partners (RTO+P) has announced the appointment of Ryan Scott as its first West Coast vice president, group creative director.

Previously creative director at Deutsch LA, Scott will now be responsible for leading the creative department for the West Coast office and working with clients such as Planet Fitness, Under Armour, Wellen Surf and Coty.

He said of his appointment: “I knew RTO+P was the perfect fit because I’ve never met people who seemed to be having more fun at this game of advertising. Here is this scrappy, hyper-energised family of ridiculously talented people who are working harder and more passionately than any agency I have seen, and they are all legitimately having a blast doing it. I had to be a part of it, and being a Philadelphian at heart didn’t hurt either.”

Scott will report directly to agency partners Steve Red (president and CCO) and Steve O’Connell (ECD).

To welcome Scott, RTO+P’s maker Steve Thompson sculpted a portrait of him made out of beach brush. He used an aerial drone to capture the video and final image.
