Ultimo boss Michelle Mone has expressed her grief at the sudden death of the underwear brand's former ambassador Peaches Geldof.

Speaking following the confirmation of the death of Geldof, who fronted several campaigns for the brand for just under a year between 2009 and 2010, Michelle Mone, described it as "such tragic news."

She added: Our thoughts and condolences are with Peaches' family at this difficult time."

A statement by Kent Police read: “Police were called to an address in Wrotham, Kent, following reports concerning the welfare of a 25-year-old woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

“At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden. They are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.”

Her father, Bob Geldof, one of the founders of media company Ten Alps, released a stament on behalf of his family: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain.

"She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.

"Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?

"We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is.

"Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken.

"Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."

As well as modelling, Geldof was also a TV presenter. She leaves behind husband, Thomas Cohen and two young sons; Astala Dylan Willow and Phaedra Bloom Forever.

Tributes to Geldof began to appear across social media as news of her death was confirmed on Monday evening.
