Brands' first tweets: @CocaCola, @ManUtd, @PaddyPower, @British_Airways, @CadburyUK, @EasyJet, @Oreo

This week, to celebrate its eighth birthday, Twitter launched a webpage which would allow its users to find their first tweet. Here, we look at some of the UK's biggest brands and discover what their first step on the micro-blogging site was. From these tweets alone it’s clear that the brands adopted Twitter during 2009/2010, although Manchester United didn’t send its first tweet until late into 2013, and that even some of the UK’s most popular brands didn’t know how powerful a creative tool it could be in the beginning. @johnlewisretail
