Gap appoints Wieden and Kennedy as global agency without a pitch
Gap has appointed Wieden and Kennedy, New York, as its lead global agency.
Appointed without a pitch but following months of talks, Wieden and Kennedy will now handle global brand advertising for Gap.
The appointment comes as Gap, who is believed to spend about $60m a year on measured media, looks to make its brand more consistent worldwide.
M&M Global suggests that Gap may invest in TV advertising again, after its global chief marketing officer, Seth Farbman, praised Wieden and Kennedy’s work on the platform.
