InterContinental Hotels Group appoints Jayne O’Brien as SVP of global brands

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has appointed Jayne O’Brien as senior VP of global brands, to oversee brand vision and strategy across IHG’s global portfolio of nine brands.

Prior to joining IHG, O’Brien served as chief marketing officer for Dubai Properties Group and also worked at British Airways for 18 years, where she was responsible for developing the first flat bed in Business Class.

Keith Barr, chief commercial officer, IHG, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jayne to the IHG family.

“Her extensive knowledge in leading brands and marketing strategy across varied industries, her innovative approach rooted in insights, as well as her strong international experience, makes her an ideal addition to our global brand team,”

O’Brien will take up the post on 24 March.
