Just days after Tesco was forced to change orange juice packing because it didn’t concentrate on grammar, the supermarket now has to change milk ads after promoting the dairy product using cows used only for beef.

The error was spotted in dairy farming town Bridgnorth, Shrops, with farmers pointing out that the Hereford cross cows would never be milked.

A spokesperson for Tesco has said “As soon as we spotted this mistake we organised for new pictures to be used.

“Customers can expect to see the new adverts in their local store very soon.”

The billboard ads, which have been posted in towns across the UK, advertise four pints of milk for just £1.
