Hit children’s TV characters from yesteryear, including Noddy, Count Duckula and The Wombles, are being brought back to life in the form of interviews with their voice actors for a new TV licensing Youtube channel.

Bernard Cribbins (all of The Wombles), Susan Sheridan (Noddy) and Brian Trueman (Nanny from Count Duckula) all feature on a selection of ‘Behind the Voices’ interviews, combining familiar catchphrases with new anecdotes.

Pipa Doubtfire, Head of Revenue Management, TV Licensing said “Seeing the familiar voices of children’s TV characters emerge from the mouths of these eminent actors will bring back a flood of happy childhood memories for many of us.”

Andy Bryant, Creative Director, Red Bee Media said: “To maximise views and engagement on YouTube, content has to be genuinely entertaining and we think viewers will love the way in which the voices of such classic children's TV characters have been recreated so vividly.”

The shorts were produced to dovetail with Telescope 2014, a TV Licensing report into the changing viewing habits of children and were produced by Red Bee Media.
