TalkTalk TV customers figures grows to 732,000

TalkTalk grew its TV customers to 732,000 during its third quarter as it saw total revenue increase by 5.1 per cent to £426m.

The TV and broadband provider saw its net revenue grow by 9.6 per cent to £320m in comparison with the same quarter in 2012, as it added 175,000 TV customers, and 197,000 TV on demand pay per view movie sales.

The number of customers taking up the company’s fibre optic broadband offer grew by 35,000 to reach a base of 177,000 customers, while 24,000 mobile customers were added, reaching 260,000.

Dido Harding, CEO of TalkTalk, expressed her delight at the growth in revenue, claiming that it showed “the powerful effect of combining a modestly growing customer base, disciplined pricing and promotional activity, and strong new product growth particularly in TV.”

Meanwhile, TalkTalk Business saw a 49 per cent growth in revenue for its data products.
