A recruitment advert seeking female escorts has been published by the Government run website, Direct Gov.

The Daily Mirror has reported that the advert was posted on Monday 22 December by the owner of an agency called Horny Escorts, offering £10 an hour on a ’flexitime’ basis.

The advert read: “Female worker wanted to go out with guys maybe for evening or have full on sex.

“This would be better if you was single and be able to work at your own pace.

"Looks and race unimportant. You will need a mobile phone. No experience necessary.”

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, a spokesperson for Direct Gov refused to confirm whether the advert had been read before it was posted and would only say: “The post was inappropriate and was taken down next day.

“When advertising jobs, employers have to agree to terms and conditions. Where an inappropriate job is identified it is quickly removed.”

The job was placed in the Universal Jobmatch area of the Direct Gov website but has now been removed.
