Rockabox has announced the appointment of Michael Greenlees, one of the original founders of Gold Greenlees Trott, as chairman of the board of directors.

The targeted video distribution and engagement company announced the addition following a raft of recent appointments, including Isobar’s Seb Royce as chief creative officer and AOL Advertising’s Steve Filler as CEO, tech and distribution.

Greenlees said: “Rockabox is set to define how online video engagement can deliver better ROI for advertisers. Its unique self-serve platform will set new standards in this exciting and rapidly growing market. I feel privileged to be working with such an outstanding team of talented professionals.”

Greenlees has previously held various senior roles at Omnicom, following the sale of GGT to the company, and is currently CEO of Ebiquity and serves on the Board of Abercrombie and Fitch.

James Booth, Rockabox Group CEO, said: “I'm told that you can tell a lot about the quality of a person by the company they keep. I firmly believe that you can tell the quality of a company by the people it attracts; this year Rockabox has attracted some real stars and Michael is at the very top of this list. I've known Michael for many years and have always hoped that I might one day work with him; I am thrilled that he has joined Rockabox as chairman and very much look forward to the undoubted impact this will have."

Rockabox clients include Diesel, Estée Lauder, Hackett, House of Fraser and Jamie Oliver.
