AOL Networks unveils tablet-specific ad format with adnostic

AOL Networks has today unveiled LEAF, created by Adnostics, a tablet-specific ad format that runs both in app and on mobile websites from a single execution, following a trial by Mercedes.

Unveiled with Adnostic on the Pictela platform, the format looks to help face challenges previously faced by advertisers targeting tablet environments.

Matt White, creative director at adnostic, said: “The LEAF format enables adnostic’s innovative, intuitive and immersive creatives to reach a wider range of digital channels. Combining Pictela's ad-serving expertise with adnostic's command of the latest HTML5 techniques allows us to champion an advanced advertising user experience to a technologically mature multi-screen audience."

The LEAF format, which adjusts to rotation and accommodates multimedia assets, has been incorporated into a recent Mercedes campaign.
