Two-thirds (68 per cent) think that Morrisons’ Christmas ad is memorable, while 75 per cent think it is ‘visually appealing’, a survey by Research Now has discovered.

The research, which surveyed 1,000 British consumers, discovered that recall for the Morrisons’ ad is high, with 47 per cent of people claiming to have seen the ad before the survey, compared to Asda at 27 per cent, Tesco at 35 per cent and the Co-op’s 20 per cent.

However, some suggest that the ad has been on air too much, compared to Tesco, Asda and Co-op ads 11 per cent saying they have seen it too much.

It was discovered that 54 per cent found the Tesco ad to be memorable, with 21 per cent describing it as informative and 48 per cent saying the ad was visually appealing.

Just over a third (35 per cent) said that the Asda ad was memorable, with 46 per cent saying it was visually appealing and 59 per cent calling the ad informative.

The Co-op ad was found to be the least memorable, with only 30 per cent, while half thought it was visually appealing and a third (33 per cent) described the ad as informative.
