People on the Move; Annie Gallimore joins Engine, Trisha Brandon joins Bloom and Publicis creates two new roles

Annie Gallimore joins Engine

This week, Trisha Brandon has joined social media agency Bloom as head of content, joining from iCrossing where she worked for two years with brands including M&S Bank, P&O Ferries and LA Fitness.

The Post Office has named Martin George as chief marketing and commercial officer. George's previous employers also include British Airways and BUPA. The role will see former Boots and Cadbury's executive George take charge of marketing, mails, telecoms, government and digital teams, as well as taking the lead on the SME agenda.

The former CEO of Leo Burnett and regional group CEO of Y&R Brands Australia and NZ, Nigel Marsh, is joining The Leading Edge as its chairman. Marsh has also authored the books Fat, Forty and Fired, Overworked and Underlaid and Fit, Fifty and Fired-Up. Alan Gourdie, branding expert and the former CEO of Telecom Retail, has been appointed to the board of Auckland’s Designworks.

Engine has announced Grey London’s Annie Gallimore will join the company this month as managing partner. Gallimore has been at Grey London for three years as managing partner and previously worked at AMV BBDO and client side with Waterstones in 2004, where she progressed to head of marketing in 2009.

Vizeum, the media and digital communications group, has announced the appointment of two new members of its senior management team. Jody Aird comes in from ZenithOptimedia as head of performance planning, to take charge of performance development and innovation across clients Autotrader, P&O, and Hiscox. Amy Green has been promoted to head of broadcast activation after six years with Vizeum, during which she has worked with clients such as Coca-Cola, IKEA, Heinz, 20th Century Fox and MINI.

Publicis London has announced two promotions to newly created roles: Sophie Payne as new business director and Trent Patterson as head of account management. Both Payne and Patterson were previously deputy heads of account management.

Mans Tech joins the strategic team at Razorfish from Lowe Worldwide.

Partners Andrews Aldridge has hired Natalie Winford, bringing her into the senior team in the role of operations director. She joins the agency from DLKW Lowe where she held the role of creative services director for nine years.

IPC Southbank has named Rich Sutcliffe as its new digital development director. He joins from Haymarket Business Media.

Data privacy firm Truste has appointed Ken Parnham as managing director. Previously Parnham served as managing director of OpenX, served time at Adtech/AOL in the UK and Ireland and was director of European ad-operations and product development for Hi-media.

ADMA lecturer Dan Ferguson has joined DesignCrowd.com as its Chief Marketing Officer.

Mother London has appointed Matt Groves, former Saatchi & Saatchi director of integrations, as its first operations director. Groves joined the SSF group in 2010 as director of integration at Fallon and later moving to Saatchi & Saatchi where he oversaw the acquisition and integration of the social and digital agency Outside Line into Saatchi’s. Prior to that he served at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, unit9, and McCann London.

AKQA has promoted Sam Kelly to its head of business development and marketing. He joins from Good Technology, where he was responsible for its marketing, new business and PR activities.

The Weather Company has announced the appointment of Nick Morgan as its director of sales for the Asia Pacific region. Morgan has held senior positions with Dow Jones, the Associated Press and CNN, while more recently focusing on developing weather services for earthTV and Metra Weatherscape.

Lois Jacobs has been appointed as chief executive officer of brand consulting and design firm Landor Associates, joining from WPP sister company Fitch. Jacobs has led Fitch since 2009 where she worked for brands including Dell, Target, Nokia, and Marks & Spencer.

Burberry has announced the appointment of Christopher Bailey as chief creative and chief executive officer, whilst existing CEO, Angela Ahrendts moves to Apple as head of retail.

Weber Shandwick has promoted associate director Conor Magowan to the role of director of public affairs. Sarah Durno, Jenna Ciancia, Sarah Ward and Cleo Comerford have joined the firm’s public relations team, Niki Birrell moves from the Scottish Liberal Democrats to take up a position in Weber Shandwick’s public affairs team, and Jim Moore has been appointed to the firm’s design arm.

Scott Reed joins Mycleveragency as head of commercial development to work with clients including Gumtree, Schuh, eBay and VisitEngland.

M&C Saatchi has appointed Grant Parker as its head of art. He joins for Ogilvy Paris. He previously worked as creative director on Louis Vitton.
