Foursquare Ads opens for small businesses

Foursquare Ads has today announced that it is open for small businesses, after a series of testing.

Foursquare made the announcement in a blog, stating: “We’re moving past the days when business owners have to figure out if a “like” or a “click” has any meaning in the real world; now they can tell if someone who saw their ad actually walks into their store.”

The app will allow businesses to promote a special offer or a customer review, with the aim of attracting those in the nearby area. Users will be able to select a monthly budget for their ad.

The merchants will be able to see how many people have viewed their ad, how many have tapped on it, and how many actually came into their store.
