A 281-page service manual apparently for the forthcoming LG Nexus smartphone has been leaked online.

The forthcoming Nexus 5?

Technical blogging websites have been quick to pore over the details of the manual, which suggests that the new Nexus is will be available in 16 or 32GB variants, will feature an LTE radio and an 8-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a sealed 2,300mAh battery.

“That spec sheet should sound familiar to people who took notice of what happened with the Nexus 4. Just as that device was built from the foundation laid by the LG Optimus G, the Nexus 5 (or whatever it’s going to be called) seems like a mildly revamped version of LG’s G2,” the Android Police website wrote.

“As much as I love my mental image of a lone prankster toiling into the wee hours of the morning on a meticulously crafted forgery, the sheer complexity and granularity of the information contained in this document makes that scenario an unlikely one,” it added.

The Drum understands LG requested that the manual be pulled down from one website which hosted the entire 281 page document.

The photos were accidentally released as part of an FCC filing.

The phone, named in the documents as LG-D821, is expected to be unveiled as the Nexus 5.
