Hinch avoids contempt over Meagher case reports due to low page views

Controversial broadcaster Derryn Hinch has been found guilty of breaching a court suppression order after publishing information online about the Jill Meagher murder case.Hinch also faced charges of contempt of court, but has been found not guilty.Hinch’s ‘Human Headline’ website published details about Meagher’s killer, Adrian Bayley, that had been ordered suppressed by the Victorian Supreme Court.Sentencing is expected on October 11.Hinch avoided a contempt of court conviction after lawyer David Gilbertson told the court Hinch’s website had received only 797 individual views over a four-day period whilst the court order was in place.
