Directory assistance provider 118 118 has partnered with MoneySupermarket.com to promote its expansion into the UK financial services market with 118 118 Money, and has also appointed Watermill as its advertising agency.

The expansion has been planned to be promoted purely through digital activity, focusing on SEO, SEM and affiliate marketing, working alongside MoneySupermarket.com, with Watermill briefed to develop above-the-line and through-the-line campaigns next year, which will continue to feature the core branding and its runner mascots.

Jean-Michel Maltais, CMO for 118 118, told The Drum: "We are pleased that our launch will see us partnering with MoneySupermarket.com as we progress we plan to extend our number of affiliate partnerships further."

ZenithOptimedia will also continue to work with the new divison, while The Drum also understands that research partner 2CV will continue to conduct all research for the launch and also continue to handle the analytics.

It was also revealed that the company will work with Seven Hills for corporate PR.

Website targeting and existing base marketing is planned to run through kgbanswers and kgbdeals respectively, while 118 118 will aid website targeting and provide access to its existing base marketing.
