National Grid, the international energy company, has appointed creative and technology agency MRY as US digital agency of record following a competitive review.

“We’ve had the pleasure to work with National Grid on various projects for a few years and are thrilled to be taking our partnership to the next level,” said Matt Britton, CEO of MRY.

“The company’s forward-thinking outlook on the energy landscape is impressive, and we hope to seamlessly blend together social, digital and branding to create engaging experiences for National Grid’s customers in the northeast US.”

MRY has been tasked with managing National Grid’s social media platforms, developing digital marketing campaigns and handling the design of its website.

“We selected MRY because of their diverse, relevant category experience and unique approach to translating our brand to digital,” said Rafael Sulit, National Grid US Brand Strategy and Implementation Director. “Their ability to complement our strategic partners, industry-leading social media capabilities and knowledge of our digital platforms will be essential in our partnership.”

The appointment comes following a recent merger with LBi US to expand its scale and offerings.

MRY currently works with other brands including Coca-Cola, Visa, Bayer, Symantec and Neutrogena.
