OneRoof Energy, a technology-rich energy service provider, has hired Weber Shandwick to handle its PR across the US.

Tasked with raising awareness of the company's solar leasing options for consumers, the California-based team will develop a business and consumer engagement initiative to help drive customer acquisitions and sales.

The partnership has also aimed to increase OneRoof Energy's brand awareness in the US – particularly in states where solar installations are on the rise such as California and Arizona.

"We're excited to increase our integrated communications support with the appointment of Weber Shandwick," said Nick Hofer, OneRoof Energy's vice president of marketing. "As one of the fastest growing companies in the solar leasing space, Weber Shandwick's assistance in elevating our OneRoof Energy brand will help enhance awareness among consumers who want to 'go solar' and our installer and dealer partners who make that possible."

William Brent, executive vice president, Weber Shandwick's Cleantech added: "Our strategy, a mix of consumer and business-to-business engagement and education, aims to firmly establish OneRoof Energy as a leading solar brand in the US."
