TV Licensing unveils more real reasons people haven’t bought a licence, including a royal dog and a cynical outlook on life
TV Licensing has unveiled more videos with White Robot showing real reasons why people haven’t bought a TV licence, including ‘Knowing my luck I’ll be dead in six months and won’t get value for money.’
Other excuses, revealed in the first stage of the campaign, include that the TV was a stolen set anyway and that weight loss meant they had no clothes to wear to the shops.
Head of communications and policy for TV Licensing, Sian Healey, said: “The new films continue to bring TV Licensing excuses to life in an innovative way using some engaging and eccentric new characters. More than 100,000 people viewed the first three films, which achieved widespread media coverage. The humour of the campaign helped us communicate licensing requirements to the online audience.”
TV Licensing commissioned Red Bee Media to create an original content campaign highlighting the most unbelievable real-life excuses heard by TV Licensing throughout the year.
