Twitter to hire first European tax manager as it aims to avoid same issues faced by Google
Twitter has is set to hire a European tax manager in a bit to avoid falling into the same issues being faced by Google in the UK.
The position, currently being advertised on Twitter recruitment page, will be based at the company’s offices in Dublin, explained that the role has been created for an experience tax manager to “ensure compliance for all EMEA legal entities” in accordance with local laws.
The successful applicant will be given responsibilities for all tax accounting under both US and Local account practices for all of the company’s EMEA bases, while also assisting in all tax planning projects.
The role has been advertiser as Google continues to argue its corner against the amount of tax it pays to the UK, claiming that its sales operations operate out of Dublin also, despite claims that the main operational work for EMEA takes place in London.
