Commercial Radio Australia has confirmed that ad revenue for metropolitan markets grew overall in the 2012-13 financial year.

Adapting to shifting market conditions

The confirmation follows five consecutive months of growth, the industry body said.

Overall metropolitan commercial radio advertising revenue figures reached $683,498.00 for the year to June 2013.

The increase is marginal, up 0.41% on last year’s figures.

"Radio continues to perform in an increasingly competitive media landscape,“ said Joan Warner, chief executive officer of Commercial Radio Australia.

“The industry is adapting to shifting market conditions and this is reflected in the figures."
