South Korean technology giant Samsung is to support Robbie Williams ‘Take the Crown’ UK stadium tour by issuing over 200,000 RFID wristbands to concert goers.

Developed by ID&C the wearable tech will support a campaign devised by brand experience agency Brand and Deliver which will allow wearers to ‘tap’ their wristbands against special NFC registration units or roaming NFC enabled Samsung Galaxy Note II handsets in order to unlock exclusive Williams content and an offer from mobile giant EE.

The hi-tech gear will also allow fans to share photos of the event with their Facebook friends by logging on to rwsamsung.com together with the chance of a trip to see the man himself at a concert in Hannover, Germany.

Steve Daly, Head of RFID at ID&C Ltd commented, “We are proud to be associated with this fantastic RFID based activation alongside Brand and Deliver and their client Samsung.”

Wristbands will be offered to all ticketholders during gigs at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Hampden Park in Glasgow and London’s Wembley Stadium between 18th June – 5th July.
