B&Q has launched new advertising campaign 'Unloved Rooms', featuring a track performed exclusively for the campaign by singer Pixie Lott.

According to the brand, a recent in-house study showed an average of 16.58 square feet of space was being wasted per British home and around 14 million rooms were neglected or ignored, prompting B&Q to launch the new drive, which was created with Karmarama and will be supported by PR, press competitions, social media interaction and in-store activity.

Comedian Rob Brydon provides the voiceover for the TV ad - accompanied by Pixie Lott singing 1970s classic Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Higher - which will run in 60 and 30-second spots.

B&Q will release the song from Pixie Lott on iTunes.
