A three year deal has been reached between broadcast group IMG and the Seven West network to broadcast the Australian Masters and Perth International.

The deal brings 20 hours coverage per week

The Drum understands Seven has also a five-year extension to broadcast the Australia Open tennis tournament. The deal is understood to be worth $30 million per year.

The deal returns the Australian Masters golf tournament to free-to-air viewers.

"Seven has a rich history of broadcasting world class sporting events and we could not be more delighted to enter into this long term partnership to showcase the Australian Masters and Perth International," said David Rollo, vice- president-director of Golf, IMG Australia.

“Both events will attract 20 hours of live national coverage which will deliver a great outcome for our valued partners and all Australian golf fans."

Saul Shtein, Seven Network's head of sport said: "We are delighted to be extending our commitment to golf.

“Seven was the home of the Australian Masters for over 20 years through the height of the Greg Norman era. On the back of Adam Scott's historic and memorable victory at Augusta in April it marks another exciting time for Australian golf and we look forward to broadcasting the event across Australia."
