Entrepreneur Liz McCarthy has launched an e-commerce site for her abeautifulworld brand, offering organic beauty products, tutorial videos, fitness tips and nutrition advice.

Launch: The e-commerce site went live on Wednesday

The site was created by Publicis London and is based on the Shopify platform and uses responsive design compatible across desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.

McCarthy, who has 15 years' experience of the beauty marketing and advertising industries, said: "The ambition of a beautiful world is to bring the world's latest developments in organic and natural beauty exclusively to the UK. Publicis has built a website that reflects the high-end nature of the products and offers an experience on a par to the top luxury retail websites. In doing so, it has raised the bar of beauty e-commerce in the UK."

Head of technology at Publicis, David Clarke, added: "Shopify provides a reliable, trusted e-commerce platform and access to a wealth of third-party plugins. This allowed us to focus on creating a great multi-platform experience and the innovative, high-end features that sets abeautifulworld apart from other retailers in this space."

The agency has also provided social and search optimisation recommendations to accompany the launch.
