Coca-Cola is currently recruiting for a marketing director for Great Britain and Ireland as Zoe Howorth, who has held the role since 2010, announces that she is taking a sabbatical.

She said in a statement: "I will be taking sabbatical from my current role as marketing director in Coca-Cola GB&I from end of June. Over my 15 years with the Company - I have been fortunate enough to be able to take on various different roles and challenges. I am grateful for the support I have received from Coca-Cola and look forward to taking some time out over the next year to spend with my family.

“Providing support and guidance to women in the workplace in terms of balancing family life and professional responsibilities is something that the Company actively invests in. Coke has a great track record of retaining women and certainly throughout my journey of having children, Coca-Cola has always matched the scale of my ambition, with interesting and varied challenges."

Howorth joined Coca-Cola Great Britain in 1998 as brand manager for Sprite before she was promoted, and has worked on campaign such as Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
