Durex has hit upon a way to spice up the love lives of long-distance lovers through the development of new ‘touch over the internet’ technology.

Dubbed ‘Fundawear’ the technology allows the wearer to feel the touch of their partner courtesy of a wi-fi connection, a technique dubbed the ‘future of foreplay’.

An evolution of the technology which makes mobiles vibrate the wired smalls can be activated by a smartphone app with Durex publishing a YouTube video to demonstrate the quirky briefs in use.

The product hasn’t yet hit the market but Durex Australia is currently advertising for couples to participate in the testing stage before they are officially rolled out.

Ben Moir, the projects technical director, said: "After the laughter had stopped, we knew it was going to be an awesome project. People will want this.”
