Depression Alliance has appointed Rufus Leonard to develop branding and design for its new community platform, Friends in Need, due for launch in June.

Project: The Friends in Need platform is set to launch in June

The creative agency will create a community development strategy for the new project from Depression Alliance, which will provide advice, support and reassurance to people living with depression.

"With one in five people in the UK living with depression, it is important for us to provide a user-led platform to allow people to share common interests, attend local events and provide peer to peer support," said Emer O'Neill, chief executive of Depression Alliance.

"Rufus Leonard's understand of our business and heritage in delivering fantastic online experiences meant they were the right fit for us."

Depression Alliance provides services specifically for people with depression in England and campaigns to raise awareness among the public of the issues surrounding depression.
