VCCP announce appointment of Weapon7 head of planning Dan Bowers as senior planner

VCCP, the integrated communication agency, has announced the appointment of Dan Bowers (former head of planning at digital agency Weapon7) as its new senior planner.

Bowers will assume the role in March as part of a wider restructuring effort at VCCP’s planning department geared toward increasing its integrated capabilities in digital, direct response,

experience design and data strategy.

He has completed a range of award winning work at Weapon7 for clients including Mercedes-Benz, smart, Mind Charity, DHL, and The Natural Confectionery Company.

Michael Lee, Executive Planning Director at VCCP, said: "Dan's a very exciting new senior hire for us. He comes with an outstanding record for delivering highly innovative digital campaigns and using data insightfully. We're confident he will have a huge impact at VCCP". Dan will be part of a senior team responsible for O2's overall brand strategy, with specific focus on O2's increasing investment in digital campaigns.

Bowers said: "It was an easy decision to join VCCP. It's a really dynamic, genuinely integrated culture and getting the opportunity to work on an exceptional brand like O2 was a huge draw".
