It has been revealed that M&C Saatchi has awarded shares worth more than £7m to co-founder Lord Saatchi, chief executive David Kershaw, executive director Bill Muirhead and chairman Jeremy Sinclair.

According to The Guardian, the four will each receive 886,733 shares, worth £1.82m on the basis of M&C Saatchi's current share price.

Lloyd Dorfman, non-executive director and chairman of M&C Saatchi's remuneration committee, said: "These awards reflect the strong operational performance of the M&C Saatchi businesses which has led to the group's outstanding performance compared to its peer group in terms of total shareholder return."

The announcement comes after it was revealed that the agency is expected to hit its forecast target for 2012, and predicts further growth.
