Our latest choice for Marketing Weak is a particularly curious affair created for calorie free sweetener brand Truvia. Anyone who fancies offering a narrative as to what is going on that makes more sense than our own then feel free.
What on earth is supposed to be going on here? A pair of 'plant lady creatures' are persuaded by the voiceover to try the advertised product after they express cynicism about it. They then make him angry after 'recognising' him and he claims to have been "unfairly killed off" in a role in which he played a doctor. Utterly baffling.

Given the way reports of adverse side effects are piling up, should this stuff even be on sale? Truvia is marketed as a sort of God's gift panacea, but just read about the side effects users have suffered... so many that they can't ALL be hypochondriacs or mistaken. frightening.

I assume they're hoping that the great unwashed will make a "Dr Who" association, and they'll get some kudos-by-association. Weak, weak, weak.
