Twitter allows members to download tweet archives
Over the weekend, Twitter began to allow members to download their entire archive of tweets for the first time, with the service being tested on "a very small percentage of users".
Twitter users involved in the test can receive the archive when they click the link at the bottom of their settings, with Twitter then informing the user that it could take some time to generate the archive, and that an email will be sent when this is achieved.
The archive is sent as a compressed .zip folder, with the tweets in a .csv spreadsheet format, and as .json file.
Those tweets which have been deleted are not included in the archive.
