ITN Productions has launched a new citizen journalism channel on YouTube, delivering original daily programming from eyewitnesses and campaigners.

A team of social media experts and ITN journalists will vet content prior to publication with author and blogger Phil Harper acting as presenter.

Operating with the slogan ‘Challenge Everything’ the channel will operate across three main strands; daily citizen journalism reports, a weekly live debate show and weekly special reports and investigations into various conspiracy theories.

Amongst the reports viewers can expect to see are an investigation into untraceable drug deals on the web; the rise of unmanned military technology firing without human command; and, UFOs over Jerusalem.

Chris Shaw, editorial director at ITN Productions, said: “Citizen journalism has moved to the very forefront of news and news gathering, but how can people trust what they’re watching? The Truthloader editorial team supported by Storyful and other social media experts will seek out the cutting-edge of citizen journalism on the web.

“Truthloader viewers can expect to see new footage for under-reported stories and coverage of events that traditional journalists simply can’t get to. Viewers set the agenda, citizen journalists supply the material, and we make the show.”
