Hey there's a storm coming to New York! Let's go out out and do a commercial for Prichard's Tennessee Whiskey! On the night of Hurricane Sandy, that's just what Nathan Crooker and Danielle Camastra did, camera at the ready, bottle and shot glass in hand.

It appears to be an officially sanctioned effort , from the title at the beginning and the links at the end, although no-one answered the phone at the distillery today to comment on the enterprise.

You see the water rising as the intrepid two hand out shots of Prichard's (founded 1997) to bemused passers-by. Wow! The lights have just gone out. No matter, the tasting goes on by flashlight.

"Really good, just like single malt Scotch," says one taster.

"I think Prichard's got Sandy over a barrel," says another (or was it the other way about?) Viewers are asked to watch to the end to see how they can help in the clean-up effort in NYC.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by this disaster."

It would be nice to say that this piece of commercial enterprise in the middle of the disaster brought a million viewers to You Tube. However at last count on Sunday afternoon the figure was just 55. Cheers!
