TBWA\Manchester has put a new team in charge of its creative department after Richard Dean left his role as the agency's creative head.

Dean, a former creative director of New York agency The Joneses, joined TBWA\Manchester as head of creative development in 2010. The agency today confirmed his departure but declined to say why he had left.

TBWA did, however, explain that the vacant post will now be occupied between new creative heads Gary Fawcett and Lisa Nichols.

The pair joined TBWA in 2010 and were promoted to creative directors, working under Dean, last year.

The changes at the agency follow the arrival of Peter Souter as TBWA's UK chairman and chief creative officer. In a statement the agency said it was "invigorating its creative offering".

Fergus McCallum, CEO of TBWA\Manchester, said: "Gary and Lisa have a wealth of brand experience, creative talent and knowledge of the rapidly developing media landscape. They will lead the agency’s creative team and shape the reputation that they have played a key part in building over the last two years.”
