Premium dessert brand, Gü has appointed iris as its lead brand activation agency following a competitive pitch against two other undisclosed agencies.

iris is now tasked with driving visability of the brand during key trading periods, starting with Valentine’s Day 2013, before launching a fuller period of activity including a nationwide campaign next summer.

Marketing director at Gü, Ellie Fennell, commented: “I’m delighted to be partnering with iris on our brand activation.

“There is a huge opportunity on Gü really to engage consumers when they come into contact with the brand and the products in store and beyond. iris demonstrated a strong understanding of our brand and shoppers and fresh and bold ideas on activation.”

Gü will still retain its creative platform ‘Give into Gü’ with none of Gü’s other agencies, which include Publicis Chemistry (social media), Wildcard (PR), Big Fish (design), and adam and eve DDB (advertising), affected by the appointment.

Sam Noble, global executive planning director at iris, added: “Gü is a standout FMCG brand and success story already. We're delighted to be a part of helping it continue to grow and develop the role it plays in the lives of its consumers and in the businesses of its channel customers.”
