Newgate Threadneedle brought in to handle Rangers' admission to AIM market

Rangers has hired financial PR consultancy Newgate Threadneedle to aid its intention to be admitted into the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.

Following a competitive pitch, the club has appointed the four strong team at Newgate Threadneedle to manage the communications output as it aims to enter the AIM market and raise up to £20m through an institutional investor placing and limited public offering.

The agency has so far handled media and investor relations, advising the Company in the run up to today’s announcement. and will continue to handle the IPO process and ongoing activities.

The club has said that the funds raised will be used to strengthen the paying squad, improve its properties and facilities and provide additional working capital.

Admission is anticipated by the end of the year.
